Seán O’Neill goals for Down

In front of a record attendance of 90,556 with another 30,000 locked outside, Down took their second All-Ireland with Seán O’Neill scoring one of their first-half goals at they beat Offaly 3-6 to 2-8. O’Neill went on win score another goal as Down won their third All-Ireland title in 1968 and was chosen on each Ulster Railway Cup team from 1960 to 1974.
