1993 Oak Leaf in bloom

Posted by Editor
Monday 20 September 1993

Derry claim their first All-Ireland.

In just their second All-Ireland final appearance, Derry powered past Cork to continue Ulster’s time at the top table. Cork were up  1-2 to no score after six minutes but the Oak Leaf men with Anthony Tohill imperious in midfield and Enda Gormley deadly in attack hauled them back to take Sam Maguire to Ulster for the third year in row.
